Around the World Kitchen

Immigration has never been a bigger issue globally than it is today.  After WWII up to 13 million refugees were created, vs today over 25 million!   Countless numbers of refugees have been forced out of their home countries. Many nations, including our own, have been paralyzed by politics and the enormity of the crisis and have failed to find an answer. If we are waiting for a political process to solve this crisis, we may be out of hope.

But there is great hope at a grass roots level. We, as individual people together, can work together to unite the various cultures of the world. How? Simple — through our stomachs. We have found that the common love of food is a great way to break down cultural barriers.  When we share a meal with those from another country or culture, we gain a greater understanding and love for one another. Deep down, we all have the desire for relationship.

The “Around the World Kitchen” cookbook paves out a two-way street to connect inter-culturally  As Americans, we can reach out and invite other cultures into our homes and make them a meal using a recipe from their home country. Immigrants and refugees can also make any number of classic American recipes we have included. This cookbook has many never before written down recipes from around the world and a staple of American favorites.

We welcome you to join us and be part of the solution by buying a cookbook, inviting, and making new friends!
