Around The World Kitchen P.O. Box 206 Southborough, MA 01772 Around the World Kitchen: The cookbook paves out a two-way street to connect inter-culturally. As Americans, we can reach out and invite other cultures into our homes and make them a meal using a recipe from their home country. Immigrants and refugees can also make any number of classic American recipes we have included. This cookbook has many never before written down recipes and a staple of American favorites. Immigration has never been a bigger issue globally than it is today. After WWII up to 13 million refugees were created, vs today over 25 million! Countless numbers of refugees have been forced out of their home countries. Many nations, including our own, have been paralyzed by politics and the enormity of the crisis and have failed to find an answer. If we are waiting for the political process to solve this crisis, we may be out of hope. But there is great hope at a grass roots level. We can work together to unite the various cultures of the world. How? Simple — through our stomach. We have found that the common love of food is a great way to break down our cultural barriers. When we share a meal with those from another country, we gain a greater understanding and love for one another. Deep down, we all have the desire for relationship. Our hearts desire and vision, is to help welcome and connect cultures by food, and to bring about a better understanding of each other. So we welcome you to get a cookbook, cook and invite! Make new friends! We welcome your sponsorship of this grass roots effort! |
