Why Sponsor?

When Bill and myself first gathered our ideas and recipes for the cookbook we knew from the start that we were not in it for funding, a quick buck, or fame. But that God had shown us an opportunity to advocate for multiculturalism through selling a cookbook. As we filled the cookbook with more and more recipes it became clear that something was taking root in this… something was growing and shifting and becoming its own being. 

Welcoming has become a central focus of our ministry and we believe it has always been a central focus of God’s. 

To welcome another human is to confirm that God has given them worth. To extend the hand of welcome is to physically extend the tender, loving care of God in real concrete forms. 

Money is awkward. It just is. Everyone needs it, and no one has figured out how to grow it on trees yet. Money makes people feel self conscious - whether you think you have too much, or too little. Money is the root of all evil, but is also sometimes the means of blessing. 

We are looking for sponsors to not only donate funding for a second edition of the cookbook but more importantly to  join us in the vital movement of welcoming in 2020. 

We are confident that God will provide the funding we need to extend this grassroots movement deeper and deeper but we are also aware of the power of mobilizing the church and extending the invitation to our church families as well. 

By becoming a sponsor of this cookbook, you are directly helping to pave a path to true multiculturalism — first, by allowing us, Meagan and Bill, to spend more time directly engaged within these multicultural settings, and secondly, by opening up new opportunities within your place of worship to host and serve international individuals and families.  
Your sponsorship helps us subsidize our production costs, with the added benefit of funding various area International, American, Campus, and Refugee ministries in which we seek to help students engage those from other cultures. It’s through ministries — like BISM, Campus Ambassadors, and WARM — working together that we believe will lead to more effective, Kingdom oriented results.

Silver sponsor $160
Bronze sponsor $85
Helping sponsor Under $85 
Any donation under $85 is acknowledged on the helping sponsor insert as well.

We ask you to prayerfully consider helping us and your church to be part of the solution. Money is awkward… but it does not have to be when we acknowledge that none of it is ours anyway, and with open hands approach the throne of God and ask, “What’s next?”.
